HERE’S THE LATEST ON IMMIGRATION REFORM

  ·         The Congress of the U.S. is busily considering immigration reform legislation that would impact the lives of many undocumented immigrants.   Here’s an update: The House of Representatives have now passed the Build Back Better bill with  an immigration “parole” proposal that would help approximately 7.1 million undocumented and over 1 million Californian immigrants; Also, many would then be eligible to adjust their status to a green card here without leaving the country; Basically, most everyone with an adult child born here then could file for permanent residence who are now currently ineligible;  The parole option has to survive the judgment of the Senate Parliamentarian that it is sufficiently related to the budget to pass with 51 votes through reconciliation; If the Parliamentarian approves, this has a real chance; the Democrats would just have to make sure all 50 of their own voted for it: ·      Relevant links: ...

ACTUALIZACIONES SOBRE LA REFORMA DE INMIGRACIÓN

  Demócratas han agregado una propuesta de “estadia legal” (conocido como "Parole" en ingles) para personas que estan indocumentadas en los EEUU. Ayudaria a cientos de miles de nuestros inmigrantes del Área de la Bahía . Los que reciben "Parole", estarian protejidos de deportacion, y reciberian un numero de seguro social y un permiso de trabajo. Luego, tambien serían posiblemente elegibles para obtener la residencia por parte de una solicitud familiar (sin tener que salir del pais y sin necesidad de un perdon) Estamos esperando la decision del parlamentario del Senado. El parlamentario debe decidir si esta amnestia está suficientemente relacionada con el presupuesto de la nacion para aprobarse con 51 votos. Si el parlamentario lo aprueba, esto tiene una posibilidad real; los demócratas solo tendrían que asegurarse de que los 50 de los suyos votaran a favor.   PAROLE IS A PATH TO A GREEN CARD FOR MANY / REFORMA MIGRATORIA.   The compromise proposal now promoted by the Democrats (to get around the Republican filibuster) would grant DACA-like "parole" status to up to 7 million immigrants, including 1.5 million in California. It would also open a path to a green card for almost all of those millions who have adult children born here.   PAROLE ES UN CAMINO HACIA UNA TARJETA VERDE PARA MUCHOS. La propuesta de compromiso ahora promovida por los demócratas (para sortear el obstruccionismo republicano) otorgaría un estatus de "libertad condicional" similar a DACA a hasta 7 millones de inmigrantes, incluidos 1,5 millones en California. También abriría un camino hacia una tarjeta verde para casi todos esos 7 millones que tienen hijos adultos nacidos aquí, despejando un camino hacia la ciudadanía para muchos ahora y en el futuro.
